Hello friend’s! Hopefully, from now onwards you already have known your unique skin type and must have started loving it too. But, you must be thinking “Then how can i take care of it?”. Don’t worry guys, i have bucket full of solutions for you straight from the laps of mother nature to take care of your skin and that too naturally.
Our skin is our body’s mirror. It reflects our eating habits, drinking habits, skincare roitine, etc. in short our whole lifestyle. We only need to make slight changes in it to get vibrant and healthy skin. Mainly:
1. Stay Hydrated
Drinking lots of water is extremely important for a healthy skin. Always try drinking 8-9 glasses of water a day. If it’s summer season even dehydrating is a good option. Just cut and add a cucumber, a lemon, some mint leaves, coriander leaves and any fruit of your choice like orange, pineapple, watermelon, etc into a water jar, refrigrate it and drink it throughout the day. All the above ingredients are natural, refreshing and help keep our body temperature cool. Drinking fruit juices is the best option to easily get all the vitamins, minerals for our skin. Add fresh soup in one of your meal as it great for body’s metabolism.
2. Eat Fresh
Just like drinking, eating good food also effects our skin. So, start eating fresh fruits, green vegetables, lots of green salads, fish & meat. Try eating freshly prepared food than stale refrigerated one. As, the goodness of vegetables is maximum in food which has just got down from the cooktop. Include dairy items in your daily diet like a glass of milk everday, yogurt, sometimes butter as all these items are rich sources of calcium, Vitamin D, protein, & other essential nutrients.
3. Sun Protection
The UV radiations coming from sun harm our skin badly, resulting in early ageing, visible fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and sometimes even cancer. So, wearing a sunscreen 15 minutes before stepping out is must. Which sunscreen to apply depends upon the climatic conditions of our country and our exposure to sun. It ranges from SPF 15, 30 to 50. We must always choose sunscreen according to our skin type. Try covering the body with a light coloured scarf as it absorbs less heat and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes.
4. Choosing Products & Patch Test
Always choose products according to your skin type. As, this will let the your skin’s needed requirements get fulfilled rightly. Try checking out testers or buy small quantity/pack of the product you want to check-out for first time, this will let you know if it suits your skin or not. Most importantly never forget to do patch test of the products before using them on your skin as sometimes the ingredients of products may harm our the delicate skin resulting in blemishs, pimples & rashes.
5. Oiling
According to ayurveda oiling has a great impact on our skin, body and mind. In winters, skin tends to dehydrate fast due to prevailing cold, dry winds so, applying oil on body before taking bath works magic for skin. Do this atleast once a week to hydrate the lost moisture of skin. Also, try bathing/showering with luke warm water than too hot one.
6. Hygine
The more you keep the skin clean, and hygienic, the better it will start getting. It includes daily cleaning of body, face and sanitization of instruments of daily use like makeup brushes, tools, combs on regular basis to clean the disease causing bacterias.
